Step into the Common Threads studio at Messiah and you’ll find more than sewing machines and fabric—you’ll find a space where hearts and hands come together to share the love of Jesus. Each week, volunteers from all walks of life and diverse cultures gather to create handmade items for those in need, offering comfort, dignity, and hope with every stitch.
Common Threads does more than make items; we connect people.
Wendy Rich
Recently, the ministry welcomed a new volunteer whose first language is Mandarin. With the help of an interpreter, she joined the team, eager to contribute her time and talent. Though words were few, the joy of serving together needed no translation. Her presence was a beautiful reminder that the love of Christ is a language we all understand.
We are grateful for the many ways people are finding connection through this ministry—building friendships, learning from one another, and discovering that we have more in common than we might think. To learn more about this ministry, go to Common Threads.
