Messiah 5th Graders Take Up Lenten Challenge with Mercy Meals

OGTKids

On March 26, Messiah’s 5th grade students, along with their teachers and parents, packed an incredible 10,880 Mercy Meals at the Orphan Grain Train warehouse. In just two hours, their hands prepared meals filled with rice, soy, vegetables, and vitamins—nourishing bodies and sharing hope around the world. Thanks to the generous support of the Messiah Lutheran Foundation and another partnering church, the cost of the ingredients was fully covered. This powerful act of service was the students’ way of “Taking Up” the Lenten Challenge—making a difference by serving others in both body and spirit.
