If you haven’t heard of the Mission group, LWML, the letters stand for Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.  The group has been active at Messiah for 37 years, also known as Messiah Women in Mission. They are affiliated with national, district, and zone organizations, meeting in the Blue Room near the Café at 1:00pm on the third Monday of each month. New members are warmly welcomed.

Every year, LWML hosts a wonderful Salad Supper for missions, inviting a nonprofit speaker to share information about their cause and how LWML and others can help those in need. LWML is actively involved with initiatives like the Orphan Grain Train, sorting clothes for distribution in the U.S. and abroad, and collecting plastic food tubs for the Food Net. This is just a sample of the things they do for the church, community, and beyond. Every month they meet for prayer and Bible Study, and they come together to glorify God, do His work and enjoy each other’s company.
