Wednesday Nights

Wednesday Nights at Messiah
classes for all ages | 6:15pm-7:30pm

Looking for a midweek spiritual boost? Look no further! From September to May, Wednesday Nights at Messiah are all about fellowship, fun, and diving deep into God’s Word.

Bring the whole family, invite your friends, coworkers, and neighbors – everyone is welcome! It’s not just a Bible study, it’s a chance for us to come together and grow in our faith along side each other.

From toddlers to grandparents, there’s something for everyone. Kids can enjoy activities and lessons tailored just for them, while adults engage in enriching Bible study sessions led by our Pastors and knowledgeable leaders. We also have childcare for infants-35 months, so there is no need to find a sitter.

Wednesday Nights at Messiah begins in the Sanctuary at 6:15pm for an opening devotion and song. After the opening, we head to our classes. Stop by the Welcome Center Desk if you need help finding a class.

ADULT STUDIES

WILD AT HEART

Leader: Ken Dobbs & JD Herman
Target Audience: Men
Prerequisite: No
Material Needed: Book available to purchase at Messiah

Focus: God designed men to be powerful. Simply look at the dreams and desires written in the heart of every boy: to be a hero, to be a warrior, and to live a life of adventure and risk. But somewhere between boyhood and the struggles of yesterday, many men lose heart. In this study for men, you are invited to rediscover the life that you were made for. Through time in God’s Word, and time with other men, grow in your walk with God.

JOINING JESUS AS A FAMILY

Leader: Pastor Dustin Lappe & Larry Elias
Target Audience: Parents, Grandparents, Extended Family and Friends of all ages.

Material needed: Book available to purchase at Messiah

Focus: Joining Jesus as a family is simpler than you think and a lot more fun! Christian parents want to raise their children to be life-long followers of Jesus. FAMILIES TOGETHER TRAINING

This training will help you understand the impact of trauma on both children and adults. You’ll be prepared with the skills to love and care of the vulnerable whether you are a Host Home, a Family Mentor or a Care Community member. For more information, check out their website

Children

Director of Children & Family: Bethany Werner

For children three years old through 5th grade. The focus of Children’s Ministry is being inspired by the Old and New Testament stories of God’s Word. Through age-appropriate study of the Bible, children are growing in love for God and the timeless truth of His Word. We’ll also have special events to equip parents to serve as the primary influencers (faith sharers and shapers) in the lives of their children.

Middle School

Interim Leader for Middle School Youth: Bethany Werner

6th grade through 8th grade

Confirmation plays a key role in the faith development of Middle School Ministry. While 6th and 7th graders study the Small Catechism, 8th graders study the Gospel of John. Each confirmand is invited into a deeper and more personal interaction of God’s Word, while at the same time being challenged to confirm the timeless truth of Scripture as it relates to their world. Parents are also invited to be a part of their child’s faith journey, serving as small group leaders, as well as being encouraged and equipped to grow in their relationship with their sons and daughters as they begin to navigate adolescence.

High School

Interim Leader for Hight School Youth: Scott Guenther

9th grade through 12th grade

Through study of God’s Word, the hope is that High School youth are learning to connect the timeless truth of God’s Word to daily life. While being provided opportunities to put into practice their God-given gifts and abilities through acts of service, youth are being equipped as disciple makers. Parents during this time are also being equipped to come alongside their sons and daughters to further guide them in discovering their identity in Christ and future callings.
