Youth Ministry

Who we are:
We’ve created a welcoming environment for middle and high school youth to learn about their Savior, encourage one another and spend time with each other as they enjoy time in God’s Word, serving in our community, and taking part in fun activities in and around Lincoln.  We’re a place for friends to gather, meet others and learn about Jesus.

6th – 8th Grade:

Our middle school youth gather regularly during the school year on Wednesday nights.  The 6th graders meet with a parent in a class that gives a one year overview of the Bible.  The 7th and 8th graders break up into small groups, with 2 volunteer leaders, as they dive deeper into Luther’s Small Catechism and learn what the Lutheran church teaches and believes.  Those 8th graders that choose to are confirmed in their faith on the first Sunday in May, near the end of their 8th grade year.  Middle school activities typically take place on the weekends and include everything from paintball to serving at the People’s City Mission.

9th – 12th Grade:

High school students have a Wednesday night Bible study that meets weekly, with a few exceptions.  They always enjoy sharing a snack as they learn more about God’s Word.  Social activities and service projects take place throughout the year, and each summer brings the opportunity to go on a week-long trip.  We regularly offer trips to serve at Gleanings for the Hungry in California and every three years, attend the LCMS National Youth Gathering.
