We’re one big family at Messiah!
Messiah is a church that stays true to God’s unchanging Word, but we try to do it in a setting that is genuine and real. Come as you are to worship and you’ll fit right in. You’ll see some men wearing jackets and ladies in dresses, while others are in casual tops with jeans or shorts. Don’t be surprised to find people hanging around for quite a while before and after our services, as we love to laugh, smile and catch up on life’s happenings on Sunday mornings.

K-Kids collect 1,152 books to share

Messiah K-Kids Club recently had a used children’s book drive at school, and collected 1,152 books to share with children who don’t have their own books to read. K-Kids Board members Gabbi Konecky (5th grade), Harrison Masin (4th grade), Kylie Konecky (3rd grade), Kynley Criner (2nd grade) and Mayli Fries (1st grade) coordinated the effort in their respective classrooms, encouraging their school mates to donate books that they have outgrown. These books have been shared with children through Educare, Head Start, Friendship Home and Cedars. Messiah K-Kids is a student-led service leadership club sponsored by Lincoln Northeast Kiwanis.

We Love Your Praying For You and Hearing Your Comments

Over the past year, since we added our Prayer Request cards in the pews, we’ve enjoyed being able to pray with you and for you. We’ve also received plenty of encouraging comments that have lifted the spirits of the staff at Messiah. This card is pretty much how we feel about Messiah too. We have an awesome church, and incredible school and a fantastic family of believers that call this place their home.

…”I am Abby, who received funds from your Acts of Hope program, due to one of your Messiah family that shared a little bit of my story. I am FOREVER grateful!
I can’t tell yo how grateful and full of hope you have mad me. I cried when I was given the check as I couldn’t believe complete strangers would help me so much.
I spent hours asking for help from everyone I know and calling any churches I could find, but I didn’t receive any help from even my friends (to no fault of theirs – everyone is busy and has work and kids)
But your help was so unexpected and so generous. I have so much hope and such a great feeling in my heart that I wanted to let you know that what you did for me helped so much!!
