What to Expect on a Sunday Morning

We are one big family at Messiah!

Messiah is a church that stays true to God’s unchanging Word, in a setting that is genuine and real. Come as you are to worship, and you’ll fit right in. You’ll see some men wearing jackets and ladies in dresses, while others are in casual tops with jeans or shorts. Don’t be surprised to find people hanging around for quite a while before and after our services, as we love to laugh, smile and catch up on life’s happenings on Sunday mornings.

FORWARD IN FAITH

In 2020, Messiah will open its largest ever expansion!
We are excited to share what God is doing at Messiah with you.

Ministry Stories

A letter from an Acts of Hope recipient

…”I am Abby, who received funds from your Acts of Hope program, due to one of your Messiah family that shared a little bit of my story.  I am FOREVER grateful!

I can’t tell yo how grateful and full of hope you have mad me.  I cried when I was given the check as I couldn’t believe complete strangers would help me so much.

I spent hours asking for help from everyone I know and calling any churches I could find, but I didn’t receive any help from even my friends (to no fault of theirs – everyone is busy and has work and kids)

But your help was so unexpected and so generous.  I have so much hope and such a great feeling in my heart that I wanted to let you know that what you did for me helped so much!!

Please know that I am forever blessed by you and for taking the time, energy and spirit to help someone in great need.

Much Love,
Abby”

Serving on Summer Staff at Gleanings

We’ve been sending youth teams to serve at Gleanings for the Hungry for almost 15 years now, but we’re starting to see an even deeper commitment to missions in some of our youth.  Lauryn Medbery was highlighted in a story that appeared in her high school newspaper, telling the tale of her time spent at Gleanings as one of their summer volunteers.  Check out the story here.

Orphan Grain Train Partnership

A group from Messiah attended the Orphan Grain Train Convention in Norfolk, Nebraska September 13-15. Ask these individuals how you can serve!

OGT was organized in April 1992 and has 27 regional branches and collection centers in the US. They have responded to disasters in 37 states—and most recently here in Nebraska—after all the flooding in March and July. OGT also ships Mercy Meals and humanitarian aid to 69 countries. True fact—98.3% of all donations go towards OGT missions and only 1.7% goes to administrative/marketing costs.

Join us Oct 13 for Make a Difference Sunday and help feed the poor by making Mercy Meals. Our goal this year is to package 55,000 meals in one day!
